Meet the Author

Staci Franklin is the owner and lead event planner of It's Your Day! Weddings & Special Events. An accredited wedding and event designer, she has been providing event management services for weddings, social and corporate events, fundraisers, tradeshows and group travel since 2001.
​
Her weddings and special events have been featured in a variety of publications including Premier Bride Magazine, Munaluchi Bride, The Commercial Appeal, The Tri-State Defender, RSVP Magazine, 4Memphis Magazine and many others.
​
Staci also has more than 20 years experience in communications and community relations. She most recently served as Vice President of Communications for BRIDGES and Executive Director of Communications for the former Memphis City Schools. She has also served as Director of Community Investment for the Memphis Grizzlies NBA franchise and Communications Coordinator for International Paper.

Known for her immense attention to detail and ability to organize the logistics for the most complex events; Staci always exudes calmness to make sure her clients events are executed with precision.
​
She is a graduate of Spelman College where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English and The University of Texas at Austin with a Master of Arts in Journalism.
